Farmall A pistons and sleeves

Postby beetle » Sun Feb 17, 2008 8:54 am

I am in the process of overhauling my A, the original pistons are cast Iron and it seems that all the replacements out there are Aluminum. What are the pros and cons of using the replacement cast Aluminum Pistons?

There are no cons only pros to using them. The put less strees on the engine due to lighter weight.
