I was sure that someone knowing more about that tractor would post the real "scoop". Farmalls with the "V" as a part of the model designation were high clearance models. So that probably is a high-clearance model of the "M". Sometimes also owners are confused about what they have. That might explain the "A ". Pictures?
One of the more familiar high-clearance models was the Super AV. The Super AV was a popular model for vegetable farmers- we called them Truck Farmers. It would clear the top of many of the mature vegetable plants.
