Postby jim turner » Sun Apr 04, 2010 10:13 pm

I took a C-3 mower off of a Cub and want to mount it on an A farmall, and I need some help I would like some pictures of the mule drive for an A to C-3 I think I can cut and re-weld the Cub one to make it work on an A, any help would be appreciated.

the pulley is a 9". i used part of a cub right angle mule drive ( the pulley setup) i had on hand. it cuts very well at 1/2 to 2/3 throttle and doesn't care how high or thick the grass is.

it's a woods pulley i picked up at a John Deere dealer. they are 3 piece affairs that will interface with the 1 1/8 spline. it does not have an overrunning clutch. if i remember correctly, you are looking for 2200+ RPM's at the mower. perhaps someone will chime in with a little more definitive info.
