Does anyone know if the Super A used the same final drive as the A?

no they did not. gears may have been the same, not sure, but the casting is different due to different ways of mounting implements.

Re: Super A final drive
John, thanks for the answer, I've been looking today at the parts diagram and the A used final drive 9800 and the SA used 9812 but all the other parts are the same as far as I can tell. The axles carry the same part numbers at least and the bearings. Do you know what is specifically different between them? I plan on using my 3 pt. so if the adapter plate will bolt on the final I should be ok. I have a line on an A final at a fair price locally.

Re: Super A final drive
John,
is that the position of the bolt holes for the implements or the bolt holes that connect the drive to the side of the transmission housing?
