Farmall A muffler

Postby Dahlin » Tue Sep 14, 2010 8:16 pm

This last week-end we went to an auction and bought a 1941 Farmall A. Somewhere down the line the PO changed the muffler. It's supposed to have a 1 3/8ths outlet and the one on the tractor has a 1 1/4 outlet. Will this cause back pressure? Will I notice a power loss or doesn't it matter. We have been in the process of changing fluids and other repairs so we have not been able to run it very much yet. Thanks for the help. Randy

My opinion is that the muffler will not cause any problem.
