Touch Control on '48 SA

I have removed the touch control units on both my '48 SA's, to choose which one will go on the surviving one (Bubba). I was able to remove the rockshaft from one, because the pistons were opposite each other, allowing the pins to be removed:

However, with the second one, the pistons were lined up, not allowing the two pins to be driven out:

This meant I could only partially disassemble the rockshaft. I really want to be able to check for leaks and clean it up for painting before reinstalling this one on Bubba. Is there a way to get the pistons repositioned without hydraulic pressure? I tried just pushing, but assume that things are doing what they are supposed to be doing, which means not bypassing fluid to allow the rockshaft to move!

This TC did work before I got hold of it, so don't PLAN on tearing it down right now... Thanks for suggestions.

Mr Puckett gave me a good tip for positioning the rockshaft on a Cub TC unit.
Use a bit of low pressure compressed air applied to the high pressure inlet on the TC block. Rockshaft rotated just fine and I was able to disassemble the unit.

Thanks, I'll try that today! Just to be clear, you are talking about one of the two holes on the side of the TC Unit where the manifold attaches?

I tried to gently blow air into one then the other of the manifold openings in my TC block (there is actually a third hole). My attempts to plug 2 while I put air into one failed to make anything move. I don't know if this process didn't work because there was virtually no fluid still in the block?? Any ideas?
