Doesn't matter what I've had, muscle car, Bike, truck and now tractor. I like the look and function of fatter tires.
Especially when it comes to off road use. The fatter the better as far as I'm concerned.
I have been dealing with soft soil problems that the wider tires may help with too. (hey sounds like a good excuse right?
)
I was originally figuring on new tires for the lo-boy with its 8.3 mismatched set.
Seeing the pics and hearing your opinions has made up my mind.
Now I'm set on finding a set of 12.4s for the "A" and then I'll take the 9.5s from the "A", they are a very good matched set, they will be mounted on the cub.
That way I can use the rims I have now. I'll be on the look out for a deal and being cheap I'll have to be patient too.

last I checked here it was $40 a rim.

I found a set of 14 x24s... ya I know, 12.4s can be done but are pushing it on the stock 9" rims but 14s?
Thats probably a no go right?
Uh, anyone ever try it?
Anyone know where I could get wider rims for cheap? I don't care about rust, I can fix that.

Hi Mike
We got blank 15" rims and the bolt loops from Miller Tire. We had to locate and weld the loops on the rims. I don't remember how much it cost. But looking back I think it would have worked out better on 13" rims. If you look close at my pictures the side wall flares out from the tread making it easier for a stick to punch through the side wall. But I don't remember what we paid for them.

The tires I'm looking at are off a backhoe so I'm still not sure of how tall they are or if they are tubeless. The asking price is tempting though at $200 for the pair. Tread looks good. I also have another option for the rims. I have a local shop that widens stock rims and I can probably get these done for under $100. I may go that route.????
