Super AV update - Paint - Electrical

The Super AV is coming along. I wanted to get some paint work done first on the tractor but I needed it to be ready to cultivate very soon so that probably will be done this fall. I did replace the front tires. They were shot. I had to rebuild the mouting frame for the cole side dresser. There was nothing left to it but I did use the mounting plate. Once that was done along with other paint work, I was able to start the assembly. Basiclly, 80% there. The Cole drive mechanism just needs some paint and mounted up and the drive sprocket assembly for the rear final has yet to be cleaned up and painted. I have most of the rear cultivator assembly but need a left side bracket assembly to mount the cultivator arm on. I could not find the long rear arms for an AV locally so I have a standard set I need to extend. I found two NOS Cole fertilizer assemblies and drives in CO which I got shipped to me with Ray Durban's help. Joe Brewer sold me the Super AV belly mount cultivator arm assembly. Clint Carter and Richard (from TN) got them to Boss's. Bob Perry got them from Boss's to me. Boss and I traded some parts for the flat spring style cultivators. I think that's everyone. I must thank everyone for their involvement in either selling me or getting many of the parts to me that put this cultivator together as a complete unit.

I believe I have (2) pair of the rear high crop cultivator spring rods. What are the original dimensions? They are much longer than the standard ones, and I couldn't imagine what else they'd fit.

Spent some time on the tins the past week. Came out ok but I wouldn't want anyone to ask me to paint their car. Did a little electrical work but still have a charging issue. Need to bench the generator and tear it down. I have nothing left to replace.

May I ask why the front and rear wheel spacing is so wide? Since these tractors were used to cultivate 1 row at the "normal" wheel spacing, I wouldn't know why you'd want it so wide.

That is a very nice and straight SAV you've got. I sure would LOVE to run across an Offset High Crop to use in my garden!

I actually purchased it at the curent spacing. I do want to narrow it up but need more that myself to change the rear around.

Hope to see you both there. This year I need to get out of the vendor area long enough to look at some tractors.
Rob-Saturday is usually the busiest day(with the most tractors)as many folks arrive early AM then load up and leave late afternoon.
