Brake pedal bushing

Postby snowdad » Tue Mar 19, 2013 2:44 pm

Has anyone ever replaced the brake pedal bushing that is housed in the attachment under the clutch housing/tube? There is a lot of play in my brake shaft and according to a diagram there is a bushing there. If anyone has the number or the diminsions I would be much appreciative. Thanks

If you mean 6A in the above drawing, the part number is 355805R1.

Thanks Barnyard. That is the one. Finally got the pedal off the shaft. This is the only difficulty I have had with my teardown and rebuild. Where could one find that bushing? Secondly, how does one go about removing and replacing the bushing? Never done a bushing before.

Phillip, I'm not sure it is still available from a dealer. You can try checking with your nearest Case-IH dealer.

As for removal, I have never done one but it may just tap out and the new one tapped back in.

If you get it out in one piece you may be able to find a suitable replacement at TSC or possibbly a hardware store.

Case IH says 2 required at $40 each. That is crazy.
