I recently inherited my grandfathers super a and had to remove head to un seize engine. My question is what is the torque sequence for the head. I found the ft lbs online but can't find out in which order they need to be torqued

I am not sure of a sequence, however if you start from the center and work your way out, you should be ok. I have done this in the past with no problems.

Thanks. I have also heard it was wise to after assembly crank the tractor and let it reach operating temp and re torque the head is this true?

Thanks. I have one more question. I've never torqued a head before so do I go straight to the required torque specs or start out at a low ft lbs and work my way up in the same sequence to the required specs. The reason why I ask is because in my job I work with atot of flanges( valves, B.O.P.'s, etc) and to get a good even seal on the gasket u would start low ft lbs and work your way up and every bone in my body is telling me to do that so before I mess something up can anyone tell me....
