3.8 volts at battery

Postby Art Cube » Sun May 12, 2013 4:52 pm

Hello, I got a new 46 Farmall Model A and after changing both the Generator and the Regulator it still has only 3.8 volts at the battery.

I'll check to see what the generator is putting out in amps next but are there any other suggestions?

Thanks for your help,
Rob

battery should be fully charged first, so you should at least have 6-6.5 volts in the battery to start with, you cannot test a charging system correctly with a dead battery
