We got about 6 inches of snow, so I went all in this morning

Looks like you are having fun, but if it were me with my old eyes that warning light would have to be on a pole behind me to keep it from affecting my vision.

Haha, I guess being 20 and full of youth has its advantages. Surprisingly thought, the warning light doesn't bother my eyes. Since I sit at a high enough angle, I don't really notice it unless I look directly at it, even though its in my peripherals.

Great action shot, Mike. I'm guessing you solved your valve train problem and it starts good for you now? Hydraulics still making noises and drifting on you?

I plowed with mine today and didn't realize until I was almost done my hydraulics were no longer drifting down and hiccuping as I posted in your other thread. Don't know what happened but I have no complaints. My tractor had sat for a bit so maybe some air in the system finally cleared or a seal loosened up. We'll see if it stays "fixed."

It still does drifts down, but it never drifts all the way to the ground unless the tractor is off. I have metal skis on the plow that keep it about an inch off the ground when plowing, keeps me from digging up the gravel driveway. So its not an issue that stops me, its just annoying sometimes.

The valve lash is still off. I'm missing a jam nut for one of cylinder 1's valve pushrods. My best guess is that a valve got stuck from water freezing and when I tried turning it over it just bent the rod and it just popped out of place. I heated up the rod and straightened it back out and adjusted the lash as best I could. She doesn't exactly purr like a kitten, but she gets the job done.

Yeah but youth and enthusiasm only last so long. Gotta make sure I take full advantage while I can!

It looks like your snow blade extension is a factory piece with the radius to it. When you get a chance could you give me the height of the plate? Gonna have one made and just guessing its 10-12" with a couple inch overlap so it adds 8-10" to the overall height.

Will do. I will try to get it by tomorrow.

For more effective rolling of the snow, the extension should be mounted to the back side of the blade.

That's what I was thinking. Add some DuPont PTFE and let the good times roll!

I never really thought about it since it gets the job done anyway. Makes sense tho. I bought it mounted like that and when I cleaned and painted it I just put it back like that.

Also, what is PTFE? I've never heard of it
