Best place to buy A rear end and steering parts?

Postby Capnball » Thu Sep 11, 2014 10:19 am

Where do y'all like to buy seals, bearings and gaskets for the final drives and such on the A's? I see Steiner has some of them, at like $17 each for some of the seals alone. Is there a place to get a package deal on that stuff? What about the stuff to refurb the steering box? Again, Steiner wants $78 for a kit with gasket, seal, bushings and bearings... Please tell me there's cheaper places to get this stuff... Should I take the IHC part numbers somewhere and match parts from those numbers? If so, who do y'all like to work with?

Was looking at the parts manual for the A- too bad you can't get some of the parts and service kits they list in there... especially for the pneumatic lift-all.

You could try the seals and bearings at your local Napa, Car-Quest, etc. Steiner's prices are a bargain compared to caseIH.

You will not find the steering parts any cheaper, and $78 is a very good price for what you get.
I take it you have not bought any parts as of late.
