TC pump possible leak.

Postby havoc1482 » Fri Nov 21, 2014 10:00 pm

So, I've noticed that after a while my Super As touch control gets real finicky and eventually completely unresponsive.

The solution? Adding more fluid to the reservoir.

I've actually only refilled it once since I just previously refilled it and cycled it because of an air issue. I had no problems, then it slowly got worse.

So my question here it two fold. How hard is it to replace the seals in the pump? And I assume the TC fluid is going into the engine oil, is this a critical issue or can it wait? Drain the oil and replace every X amount of running hours? Winter is upon me and I need the plow and don't want to invest in a time consuming issue and be caught with my pants down when old man winter rears his head.

Is the oil level in the crankcase increasing?

I wouldn't want to run my engine knowing there was hyd fluid entering the oil pan. I rebuilt my pump on my SA and it's real easy, just a little messy whenever you open up the system.
