Closing wheel

Postby kellylas » Fri Jan 23, 2015 10:40 am

Having never planted with a runner planter I am kind of worried about the cast iron closing wheel working good in my soils. They are kind of sandy and I am thinking that I might not get a good seed to soil press. I know they used them with out the rubber press wheel just don't know what kind of results to expect from this planter?

The wheels will do just fine.---you can adjust the weight/depth of the runners by raising or lowering the wheel brackets. (at least all the planters I been around that's how it was done) I use a modified IH 450 an it works in all type ground! thanks; sonny
