Reverse Idler Gear

Postby havoc1482 » Mon May 04, 2015 6:19 pm

Hey guys, so I identified another noise in my Super A. Its the reverse Idler Gear. I believe with the rear PTO taken off I can tap the rod\bushing its on out and grab it.

I believe this is feasible. I am not going to tear the transmission off again. I just don't have the will to.

There is the rod\bushing on the top left corner of the picture. There is plenty of room to tap it forward and out. I looks like I can stick a wooden dowel or something past the upper left side of the differential gear. Thoughts?
