Screen for Zenith carb

Postby RanchsA » Sat May 09, 2015 8:33 am

Hi. I noticed my governor surging a bit a few days ago after adding some sea foam to my tank of fuel. Now the A will run weak at full choke. I'm thinking my carb is gunked up again. I didn't have a screen in my carb or any luck finding one. Was planning on cleaning out the carb again but would like to get a screen in there to hopefully stop some gunk from from getting through. Anyone know a place to find these screens?

I will get the link for Zenith parts when I am in the shed a little later, but in the mean time you may want to look at this.

You might check with McDonaldCarb.com for the screen.

My IH dealer lists this at $47 and change. I thought steiner was high at $25. 10 years ago they were under $10.

Thanks for the replies everyone, sorry I wasn't able to respond this weekend time and my internet were not working with me. I'm definitely going to look into making one per the thread you posted John. The previous owner has a copper line installed ,and it will give me a reason to play with Dad's bender. I may grab one from Steiner in the mean time to get her going again for a quick run finish up on the garden. Those little buggers are more than I was expecting as well. I was expecting more of the 10 or under point myself.
Once again thanks all for the replies.
