Super A Paraffin\Distillate

Postby havoc1482 » Sun May 17, 2015 9:33 am

I have a person in a Super A group on Facebook from South Africa having a problem with this distillate Super A. He says it runs fine on gas and will run fine for 5 minutes after on the distillate, but then it dies and there is oil (could be his fuel mix unburnt, he hasn't gotten back to me on that) in cylinder 3 that fouls the plug. I asked him to make sure the shutters and manifold shield are present and working. I think its not staying up the temperature after he switches off gas to distillate. Hes also wondering if there was a special spark plug for this. I told him that I don't think so.

I doubt that he is getting the engine hot enough. IH didn't recommend a specific plug for distillate. Going one notch hotter won't hurt, might help.
