As it ALWAYS seems to happen, just BEFORE the NAPA guy showed up, I was cleaning out the bucket where I drained the small amount of oil that had been left in the pan, and low-and-behold, there was the washer!!! Never fails, right?!

Anyway, everything is buttoned up (except hood and grill), so tomorrow afternoon I will crank him up, and see if there are any leaks! Keeping my fingers crossed...but may just take a cooler with a few    just in case I need to whine some more tomorrow!!! :big smile:

OK! So no whining for me today...yet! I bit the bullet and cranked the SA this morning...YEA! He lives again! Ammeter was correct, front engine seal did not leak, and at least the water pump belt was turning, so I assume it is also pumping! I had swapped out oil pressure gauges for the 0-75 psi one the book called for, and the pressure seemed a bit low, but I'm not used to that scale. I will need to keep an eye on it.

So, no tears in my beer this afternoon!!!

I had gotten it from Jensales. It is the 0-75, screw in style.

They do have quite an assortment. You just have to scroll through. So far it is good, but then I just put it on. I did buy a Cub gauge from them, and it has been on for almost 2 years...looks and works fine!

Good oil pressure is like between 20-40. Mine goes to 40psi at startup and as it warms drops to like 25-30. I have a tractor supply 0-80psi one. So yeah on the 0-75 itll look a little low at operating temps because the old ones that had the Red/White range didn't go that high (I think)
