Super A Radiator Filler Neck

Postby Like-em-all » Tue Sep 22, 2015 8:57 pm

In shopping around for a pressurized radiator cap for my Super A (S/N: 351213), I notice that some sellers specify that their caps are either for a long neck or for a short neck filler. The filler neck on my Super A measures 3/4" from the top edge of the neck down to the sealing surface, but I have no idea if that is long or short. Can anyone provide dimensions for the different filler neck lengths?

TM sells caps for either a 3/4" or 1" neck for the Cub. That would lead me to assume that the 3/4" is the short neck. It could be different on the Super A though I doubt it is.

One of the cap vendors came back and said the 3/4" neck is standard or short and the 1" is the long neck. His finding seems to be exactly in line with your assumption -- thanks!
