Dash to battery box bolts
Does anyone know the size of the bolt that attaches the battery box to the top rear of the dash? Looks fine thread, but I can't tell. Can't find my thread gauge either. I'd hate to have to just trial and error. Think maybe they are the same as the other bolts in the dash?

If you check RUDI's MANUALS above and scroll down, there is a Parts Manual for the Super A, and to find the bolt you are seeking, check here:
http://www.cleancomputes.com/Cub/Super%20A%20-%20Super%20AV/TC-39B%20Parts%20Catalog/Page%20133.jpg
Possibly under item #5: 5/16"-24NFx3/4" (4 each) or 3/8"-24x7/8" (2 each). If not those, then check under item #6.
Good luck.
Edit: just noticed you said the top rear, so probably the 3/8" ones, since the quantity is listed as 2.

It's a @!&* fine thread and I hate em. The next one I work on I'm going to drill out and helicoil out to coarse thread.

There are several places where IH used fine thread bolts, which make no sense.

Re: Dash to battery box bolts
For future reference, yes they are 3/8 fine thread as Al stated.
Don't make the mistake I did and get bolts that are TOO FREAKING LONG! I (for whatever reason) thought the dash was deeper lol and the bolts bottom out with about a 1/4 inch left to go haha. I'll have to cut 'em down.

Re: Dash to battery box bolts
Yes.....this is annoying. I find alot of them are buggered up from PO's not knowing, or either broken off from rusting up in there.
