140 Oil Change

Postby Dave F. » Mon Apr 11, 2016 9:49 pm

While changing the oil in my 140 after the oil has drained I like to stick my finger in the drain plug hole to check for a sludge.
While doing so I could move the pickup screen up & down Is this normal? I looked at my 140 parts manual & it looks like the screen assembly could just float up & down with finger pressure? Thanks Dave F.

Normal, having the screen float on top of the oil is a feature.
