I recently bought what appears to be a Super AV. The serial number is 311879 and it is a tall boy wearing 12.4/11-36 rear tires. There is a V stamped on the serial number plate which is mounted under the seat. The engine does not have a water pump.
Is there information available to show how many Super AV tractors were made, and are they more common or less common than the Super A model?
THANKS!!!

Looking in Guy Fay's Farmall Letter Series Tractors and IH Tractor Data Book, I see that your tractor, numbered 311879, is a 1951 model. The V stamped on the sn plate indicates it is a high clear tractor. I'm not sure about the number of high clearance tractors made, but the Super A shows to have been made from 1947 to 1954. Maybe high clearance tractors were available during the entire run. The total number of Super As produced was 94,001, with 27,562 being made in 1951. These numbers also include AVs and International As.
