Timing--SA vs CubI believe that on a properly timed Cub the rotor should point to 1 o'clock position when piston #1 is at tdc on the compression stroke. If this statement is true, would that also be true for a SA? Both have mags. Thanks, Dan
Don't know about a Super A, but on a cub magneto the rotor will actually be about 11:30 or so position until it "snaps" then will go to aobut the 1 oclock position. It won't stop dead on the nujber one position, which is about 12 to 12:30 position. look for the 1 with a circle around it on the cap of the SA mag. roto shoud be just before it until impules "snaps" then stop just after it.
