I think it's time for a new carb. On the super A. I have read good and bad about all brands. I have the factory carter carb. on it now.
I dont think I want to go that route this time? Anyway I'm looking for options and opinions on what you all think is the best carb. Is Zenith better than Marvel?
Where is the best place to order one from?
I think i saw Steiner tractor is offering free shipping this weekend.
Thanks Tom

I'm more familiar with Zenith than the Marvel-Schrebler. I don't think there's anything wrong with either one. Personally I prefer Zenith. What's wrong with your Carter? Last time I knew you could still get the full rebuild kit for the Carter with the cast iron top.

Re: Carburetor for super a
I might could fix the Carter? From idle to 1/2 throttle it does great. After that is starts sputtering. ( not surging/hunting) It will smooth out after a bit but first signs of a load, it will start again. It's like there is a dead spot after half throttle. I have cleaned it twice and everything seems to be good.
I could live with it if it wasnt going to some road time.

Thanks for the reply about the Zenith. I was leaning towards Zenith from the things I have read. I ordered one and it came today. I got it installed and it completely solved my problem. For the first time since I purchased the tractor, it has a Full range of throttle, no sputtering, and the governor is working properly. It will take the fuel as fast as I can push it and never misses a beat. There is a very large hill down the street that I have been trying to pull in 4th gear at full throttle. Today was the day and never lost any speed!
