Fill line plug on a 1959 Farmall 140 transmission

Postby Paul Bertrand » Fri Jun 16, 2017 12:47 pm

Which transmission plug is the fill line plug on a 1959 Farmall 140? Is it the square 4 sided plug located on the short axle side of the transmission near the front of the transmission? Or the slotted screwdriver type plug located on the long axle side near the seat?

Its a 5/16" female plug...you can get a 1 1/2" or 2" x 5/16" key or steel rod at Rural King.
