I took most of the paint off my hood with a high pressure power washer (The kind ya get a Home Depot) , what was left came off with some easy sanding .

I like purple power in a pump sprayer. Wet it down good, let it soak, may have to re-apply to keep it wet. Hit it with the pressure washer. Repeat. Then sand the missed spots.

i've used the aircraft stripper, works fast. I would wear goggles and gloves , it burns if you get it on your skin.

A needle scaler works great on old paint. Harbor frieght sells a good one for under $50 (get the larger one).
If you don't know what that is look it up on you tube. It's one of the better tools I own.
