wiring for farmall 100

I'm changing my 100 from alt. back to 6V gen. it has the reg. mounted on top the gen. need to know some of the wiring,

I know the A on the gen. goes to the gen. on the reg.
I think the bat. on the reg. would go to the amp. gauge.
Now I still have the F on the gen. and the F on the reg. [ if its used ]
Which wire or should any of them have power with the key on or off Thanks

Thanks Gerry, I got it, now does anyone know how you can tell a 6v coil from a 12V, if its not stamp on it

A 12 volt coil has a primary resistance of about 3 ohms.

Mike, I just measured my coil, 1.3 ohms on the primary side. When you connect the coil, for a 6V positive ground system, connect the - terminal to the power switch and the + terminal to the distributor.
Tonight I was checking my timing with a light. You can do this by using a 12V battery charger (observe polarity) to power the timing light and use the inductive pickup on spark plug wire #1. Since the pickup is inductive, you don't need to connect a common lead between the 6V battery and the 12V charger. Look through the hand hole and observe the timing mark on the flywheel to line up with the mark on the flywheel dust cover. Or you can do static timing like in the manual, but it's not as precise.
