140 Hydraulic rebuild

I stopped at a guys farm the other day to ask if he would be interested in selling his Farmall 140 out in the field. He said NO but that he was trying to get it working again. Silly me asked if it ran and what was wrong with it? Turns out the tank/cylinder is leaking oil apparently and the lift won't work on it anymore. He said the local Farmall dealer said it was going to be about $400.00 to fix it and he asked me how much I would charge to repair it?
My question is How hard is it to work on one of these items and is there any thing I should be aware of that is different then the cubs unit other than the twin hydraulic cylinders?
I really think the problem is being left outside for one, bad gaskets and basically misuse for the others. But he wants me to look at it. Of course I told him he would have to get it running and brought to my house first.....That might be more difficult then he thinks, from what I saw!
Maybe it will turn out to the good and he will sell it to get rid of it but I dought it!
