130 pto
I am working on a farmall 130. The pto shaft seal leaks. I have removed the housing, but cannot get any gear puller I have to fit the gear. Not enough clearance between the gear and the housing. The manuals I have are not clear on how to remove shaft and seal. Any suggestions? Thanks, jwmcd

Re: 130 pto
the gear can be removed using a std 3 jaw puller inserted in the three internal holes in the gear after removing the bolt and washer, of course. i reinstalled the bolt without the washer to push against.
then remove the woodruff key, and drive the pto shaft out of the housing. the two bearings are the same IHC L-230 (1206AG Timkin)
now the seal can be changed.
hope this helps, art

Re: 130 pto
Thanks Art. Very helpful info. I kinda thought that was the way, but neither of my gear pullers would fit in the holes. Now to find a smaller size puller. John
