There were slight differences throughout the years on the 140, but to my knowledge, no differences that are specific to an International 140 vs. Farmall 140. I am not sure when they switched from Farmall to International, but I think it was somewhere in the late 1960's.

Mine is a '76 and it is an International, but it also says Farmall on the 140 numbered tag.

There was an industrial 140. It has a heavy duty diamond shaped front axle and a foot throttle. I believe they were originally painted yellow for the most part.

My International 140, is both an International and a Farmall. It has the international logo, or emblem on the radiator grill, IH, but on the main hood is a fairly large chrome FARMALL on both sides of the hood. It is a 1959. The other tags are 140 on each side of the radiator. It is truly a great tractor, it does so much work. I'd like to post some pictures, but I have to get through the winter to learn how. It doesn't seem easy. It would be interesting to hear from someone who owns a 1958 as I believe this was the first year of the 140.

The INTERNATIONAL hood decal, with FARMALL above "140" on the smaller decal just mirrored the style decals used on the other IH tractors up until the '66 series in the '70s.

Incidentally, the 140 was the last IH tractor to bear the word "Farmall" on its hood/side panels. It carried it up until the end of production in '79
