Re: 130 Touch ControlI am wondering why the rubber boots are the same for both the piston (which is way bigger) and the control rods.
Has anyone ordered and installed these new yet? They are not cheap. Could get a nice pair of fishing boots for that price. 4ea.............364832R2..................BOOT.................17.63ea..........70.52 Total. Just Do It !
Re: 130 Touch ControlI paid 40.00 for 1 leather boot at CIH. I wonder If TM parts boots would work. Much cheaper.

Re: 130 Touch ControlTom,
As far as I could tell the leather is no longer available. The part number for the rubber is the same for both piston and control locations. Just Do It !
Re: 130 Touch ControlIf you're talking about TM parts, I don't know. I'm lucky to have a parts guy that knows cubs well and he'll take the time to find stuff. I just bought a leather boot for an actuator 2 months ago. When he can't find another dealer with the part I need, he can always get it at Indianapolis.

Re: 130 Touch ControlTom,
No, this is from CIH Online Parts Store. That is where I get my all my info. I check the part# in my original manual and match up with what CIH has in it's file. Usually alot of parts are superceded by a new CIH number but the parts always match. After I have all my info, I forward the order to my dealer in Southern Ontario. No problems so far. But this boot thing has me wondering what's up. Thanks for the reply. Just Do It !
Re: 130 Touch ControlI just checked TM parts. Check under "hydraulics" and you'll be suprised.

Re: 130 Touch ControlWow,
That is a nice price for leather c/w wire to boot. Pun intended. The rubber is competitive price that would be much more cost to me in Cdn dollars. Of course these are for the Cub T.C. Not sure how much difference compared to the 130. Just Do It !
Re: 130 Touch ControlI wondered the size difference too, but I have a Super A and Cub parked right next to each other and I can't tell. They look the same to me. Someone here has to know if there is a difference. I think at that price I'd make them fit. I would also get leather. I think it lasts longer.

Re: 130 Touch ControlTom,
I just checked again. Looks like my error. The original manual TC-52A shows the same part #364832R1for both #47(Control) and #51(Piston). I assumed that old manual to be correct. However, when I look at the CIH Online Parts store, the Boot for the Piston comes up as #351754R3. Control Valve Boot weight = 0.044lbs. Piston Boot weight = 0.066lbs. So there is a difference. Amen. Had to email my dealer and get him to adjust the order accordingly. Here's a link. http://partstore.caseih.com/us/parts-search.html#epc::mr02-3882ar02-3882-651-25383 It says these boots will work in place of leather but no leather is offered as available. Just Do It !
Re: 130 Touch ControlI was lucky that ,while mine weren't useable, there was enough for a pattern for my local shoe maker to make them(took a little explaining what they were for). I had the leather and he charged me about 5 bucks apiece.
Re: 130 Touch ControlAaarrrrrrrggggggggggggggg!!!!!
BOOT, Piston # 351754r3. @ $ 54.26 each ! That is before tax! Can anyone say, .......McIver. Perhaps a bicycle inner tube would do just as good a job. That money would pay for a lot of paint, or other needed parts. Just Do It !
Re: 130 Touch ControlMy parts came in yesterday.
Hopefully I will have time on the weekend to clean and put that TC back together. Standby for more pics. Also have parts to freshen up the seals gaskets etc.. for the pump. Gotta love it!! Just Do It !
Re: 130 Touch ControlHere are some pics of my progress on the 130 TC unit.
All new O-rings installed. New gaskets, boots etc. Only thing itching me is the fact that the Thermal Relief Valves did not have screens. Suppose maybe this model did not require screens. Doubt anyone was in there before me, but who knows? ![]() Nice and clean, ready to go. ![]() All allen plugs removed. Thermal relief valves out as well. ![]() Parts packages on my reclaimed 'clean' work desk. ![]() About half way finished. ![]() All done. You can see the leftover O-rings on the package. The old O-rings are on the left. Some of the O-rings were wore out for sure. ![]() This new head gasket looks like a goalie mask from a horror movie. So far so good. Just Do It !
