Re: need a serial tag for a 100I am assuming that since you don't know which one you need, you don't have the original anymore? From the link, it looks like you will want the first one (1950-up).
Re: need a serial tag for a 100If you can find a copy of Red Power, Mrs. Robert Deiner sells repro tags. Her late husband worked for IH, and her tags are RIGHT.
Al "12 volt conversions are for quitters"
IH's are RED. Just say NO to yellow and white! Let us pray for farmers and all who prepare the soil for planting, that the seeds they sow may lead to a bountiful harvest.
Re: need a serial tag for a 100We have the original I will see if I can post a picture. The tractor is at my brothers place. He sent me a pic but it is so worn that I cannot see much of the numbers.
Re: need a serial tag for a 100Use several old putty knives to remove the old one correctly then install the new one in its place. Always keep the old original one with the tractor, so anyone in the future knows it has been replaced at some point. A number stamping kit can be bought easily at harbor frieght.
Re: need a serial tag for a 100George Willer did a great How To on this but unfortunately the photos are no longer there.
I don't believe in taking the bull by the horns. I took a goat by the horns once and that was enough excitement for me.
