Anyone know what it should look like?

I am assuming that since you don't know which one you need, you don't have the original anymore? From the link, it looks like you will want the first one (1950-up).

If you can find a copy of Red Power, Mrs. Robert Deiner sells repro tags. Her late husband worked for IH, and her tags are RIGHT.

We have the original I will see if I can post a picture. The tractor is at my brothers place. He sent me a pic but it is so worn that I cannot see much of the numbers.

Use several old putty knives to remove the old one correctly then install the new one in its place. Always keep the old original one with the tractor, so anyone in the future knows it has been replaced at some point. A number stamping kit can be bought easily at harbor frieght.

George Willer did a great How To on this but unfortunately the photos are no longer there.
