I would like to know if anyone else on the forum that bought a new 140 in the seventies remembers the price? We bought one in 1977 for $7688.00

Re: price of 140 new
Tractor Data has a price listed for a new 1979 in the upper $8000 range; but one can not confirm the accuracy of that information. It does sound in-line from what yours cost though. There are some old bill of sales out there I'm sure. Tim Fail of Farmall140.com may have some or have seen some.

Re: price of 140 new
Does anyone have a price range of a 1965 model? My great grandfather purchased ours new in March of 1966, and I guess it was the previous build year that they sold him. I'd give anything to have the old paperwork, but that has long since been lost when my great uncle burned their house and everything in it. He had the rights to the land and did it without telling the rest of the family.

Re: price of 140 new
I can't give much specific help but there was an article, I believe in Red Power, that described the last 140s, I believe they were comparing them with the new 274. IIRC it was between 7000 and 8000 dollars.
