Did they Make a Non-Hydro C?

Postby Brandon Webb » Thu Nov 23, 2017 5:58 pm

Looking thru the parts book it shows some dash parts like the hydraulic lever covers, and shows a part # and pic for a lever cover for tractors NOT equipped with touch control. So that got me wondering so then I checked the engine section hoping to find a hydraulic pump block off plate but no luck. Just wondering ?

Touch Control was an option on a Super A so I would assume the same for the C.

Well I've found a Farmall C without hydraulics. Now help me understand what you could use a tractor like that for? Anybody know if they made a hand lift?

Drawbar work. I'm not aware of a hand lift for the C.

You shouldn't have any trouble adding a touch control if you wanted to.

I'm trying to get some more pics of it, and I'll post them when I figure out how. You couldn't cultivate or plow, or use a snow plow or a planter. Really just pull a disk, or some type of mower with a manual lift.

I'd love to see one without electric start. I'm unsure if they would have had the headlight post, or if it was removed. There is an electric starting and lighting manual on ebay I may have to buy.

You could use a non-mounted plow like a Little Genius.

You could do most all those things but not with normal Farmall C implements. They made lots of pull type plows and planters.

It was optional but I'm thinking it was more of a special order type thing to have them deleted. Not many would have left the factory without the hydraulics.
