serial 7079 would make it a 1948 C rather than a Super C. super C serial started at 100001 (change over was made in 1951). The main difference so far as I know is the engien, C123 in the super C, versus the C113 used in all but a few of the later Cs..

thanks john

Can't tell from this side photo, but the Super C had disc brakes with curved pedal arms vs straight arms on the older C. That's the most visible clue besides the serial #. The Super C also had a water pump and thermostat vs a thermosyphon system like the Cub although I don't know if you can tell from the outside..

Super C's also have a 2 or 3" gap between the Hydro lift and the fuel tank to make room for the larger engine.

It looks like a C to me....and those front wheel weights are quite rare around my neck of the woods!

Hood looks like it is running downhill to the front. Is there by any chance a Super C fuel tank and a C radiator and grille?
