Farmal C S/N, is this a demo ?

I have afriend who has a C with a s/n of 7714. Is this in a range of numbers that could have been a demo ? It is painted white for what ever that is worth. Thanks for any insight anyone may be able to provide on this issue.

Not even close. That serial number is from 1948. If he missed another digit in the front of that number (like a 4) then it would be in range.

Thanks Jim, I'll check back with him and see if there is a missing number. I have not seen the serial plate.
