Rebuild of the Hydraulic Remote ValveWould anyone happen to know how to rebuild the hydraulic remote valve as pictured below? How difficult would it be and what all parts/kits would I need? Is there one readily available? I acually pulled this off of a 1952 Farmall Super A, but this is originally used for the 2 point fast hitch found on the Farmall Super C and 200 tractors. I reckon one could use it as a hydraulic remote on the Super A/100/130/140 tractors. The PO probably pulled the TC off of a Farmall 200 or such and left the valve, as it was not hooked up. I am wanting to sell the entire set-up, but it isn't very appealing to someone when you're selling something that you're unsure of its condition and functionality. I'd like to clean, strip, rebuild, and repaint it first......that is if'n it aint too hard !!

Re: Rebuild of the Hydraulic Remote ValveThat valve was available for the 100/140 tractors. The control lever/rod was different than for the Super C/200. I don't think there is much to repair in it, a seal is about all. Check the parts catalogs.
Oh yeah, the lever in your picture doesn't look like either version.
Re: Rebuild of the Hydraulic Remote ValveWhy would it be used on the Super A-140 tractors? For an external remote?
The lever was bolted to the steering support arm, and seemed to function well.
Re: Rebuild of the Hydraulic Remote ValveIt was an option on the Super A (I think it was introduced on the late model Super A's) so you could run a hydraulic cylinder on a trailing inplement.

Re: Rebuild of the Hydraulic Remote ValveOk. Well maybe it was originally on the Super A becuase it came off of a 1952 model. Neat find...and if someone has rebuilt one of these please speak up and let me know what was involved and where the parts were bought. I assume CNH is the only place to get them, but didn't know if someone provided a "kit" like that is found on eBay for steering.
Re: Rebuild of the Hydraulic Remote ValveI think there's like one seal and one o-ring. Hardly worth making a kit.
Re: Rebuild of the Hydraulic Remote ValveFound some info on it in a IH Farmall Super A and Super AV, Operators Manual, page 81 under Special Equipment.
If you don't have access to that manual, I can scan the page and illustration and post it . No separete part #s but the # for the "Hydraulic Remote Control Tractor Attachment" is 356778R91
Re: Rebuild of the Hydraulic Remote ValveIs the TC 39C parts manual online? If so there's a parts break-down for the valve in the Hydraulic System section. Doesn't look like there's much to it. If you need I can scan my copy for you, but it'll be a few days before I will have time to.
I have never seen one on a Super A in person, people around here just didn't use any trailing implements needing hydraulics back then, at least on these tractors. It would be a neat option to have! Al "12 volt conversions are for quitters"

Re: Rebuild of the Hydraulic Remote ValveI have a copy of the Super C parts catalog that shows the breakdown. PM me you postal address and I'll mail it to you.

Re: Rebuild of the Hydraulic Remote ValveThere is not much new in this , and less on page 82 (not attached). It is hard to see, hope it is of some help.
Re: Rebuild of the Hydraulic Remote ValveThank you so much for the info!
Re: Rebuild of the Hydraulic Remote ValveAl was right - the TC-39B Parts Catalog is on the manual server.
