serial # ID
I have a 4 cyl IH power unit with a serial# 64HPA11050. Does anyone know what year and type of motor it is? thanks the block casting # is 35638R2

Are you sure about that block casting #? I think there should be 6 numbers before the R.

I'm not quite sure. I tried to do a search for the block part number and that's when I realized something didn't seem right.
One thing that caught my eye is some Cub-sized power units had a serial number prefix of 64HTC.
Also, is there another casting code on the block? Something with 2 numbers and a letter? Like 4-21-X or something like that? That will be a date code with the first 2 numbers representing the month and day and the letter is a code for the year the block was cast. That will help date it.
Can you post any pics of it?

"Cub Sized power units" sometimes came with a small Continental Y69 engine.
