Magnet in the gas tank

Postby shady-lane » Mon Apr 18, 2016 7:00 pm

I'm sure this idea has already been done. But after searching I couldn't find anything.
Basically, I have a magnet connected to the gas cap with a short piece of little chain.
The chain is too short to let the magnet touch the bottom of the tank, but it gets within less than an inch.
Rust sticks to the magnet and is easy to remove.
On a side note, It's difficult to loose a gas cap that has a magnet tied to it :D
