Is it possible to remove the rear Belt drive from the PTO area?

Do you mean the belt pulley or the whole PTO? Either way, yes. There was a cover that went in place of the belt pulley.

Sorry, yes, I want to remove the whole right angle belt mechanism (I don't have the pulley). Can you remove it and leave the lower PTO?

yes, there is a cover plate to replace it with. Good luck finding one.

Darn, I am not good enough to make one...on to plan B. Trying to find a place to put a bracket for a top link for a 3 point is not easy. The cylinder or the right angle drive are in the way of the bolt holes that would work. Using the holes will look like the old mousetrap game (dating myself)

My guess is that you don't want to use the 2 bolts facing to the rear on the right angle drive housing to hold a bracket.
