Light bar

Postby ajhbike » Mon Dec 11, 2017 11:15 am

How is the horizontal light bar pinned to the vertical support? Is it pinned or is it screwed/bolted. Mine turns a 1/4" or so and it interferes with the TC and Remote hydraulic adjustments. I can't seem to find it on the Case site.

How about 2 set screws from the back side?

Hard to tell...there is so much paint that it is smooth and not noticeable, but I will check, thanks

Good question I just went thru replacing the harness to the headlights and I couldn’t spot any way to remove the light bar. But I did have to remove the whole bar assembly from the dash panel to be able to remove the old and feed the new harness in

I did the same thing and after a few dozen tries got the wires around the 90 degree turns. Very awkward. I was looking to also stop the bar from the slight rotation wiggle. There is some sort of pin or set screw, but I determined it wasn't a big enough deal to tackle do i moved on

Like Jim said, set screws. I had to straighten and secure mine, tighten the allen head set screws and good to go. I removed my light bars to run new wire, not a problem.

Mine had so much paint that the set screws weren't visible, but Becker pointed them out to me...but it was after. Making that 90 degree turn was a real dog because there is a restriction at the top of the vertical. Anyway, mission accomplished.

I used the old harness to pull some wire thru the light bars to fish the new harness thru the light bars. the hardest part of the job was pulling the fish wire thru with the old harness

My old wire was the cotton covered type and would not make the corner connected with the new wire. Tried and tried to no avail.

I Used a smaller stranded thermostat type wire and had to fiddle with it for 15/20 minutes and then it almost fell out

I know....the air was blue in the shed and not from smoke. But stayed at it and got it
