Snow Plow

Postby ajhbike » Mon Dec 25, 2017 3:01 pm

My latest project converting the 54" plow and making the cradle, arms, brackets (more painting required when it is warmer)...ready for a big snow!

Report back on how it works. I grew up on a John Deere A with a similar set up. It sure pushed a lot of snow!!

Had to move some big piles of snow today...worked well! I have the grading blade on the back so I can push from both ends. My cub is the go to plow for maneuverability, but this is fun too

Boy, old Emily pounded through the drifts yesterday. Plow on the front, blade on the back...a snow moving machine! BUT...my F cub with the 10" wings on the plow sure moved the end of the driveway 24" mound really well too and more maneuverable.

Effective setup. Looks like you'll be able to combat ol' man winter pretty well. Hope your tractors continue to run good for you throughout the winter.

They are slightly angled so snow is somewhat contained

Looks good John, It is fun to work out and fabricate that kind of project. A double barreled SC so to speak. Now all you need is install a power angle set up, like Ricky's, for your Cub.
