What is the weight of a super A and C. Non loaded tires, no weights or implements. ?

My trailer is a twin axle, and has carried two cubs at one time without a problem, the PO has hauled cars w/o any problems. My question is since there is NO WEIGHT identifier on the tongue, would it be safe to assume that it is at least a 5000lb trailer. It has no electric brake if that means anything........

John - check the axles and see if you can see a weight identifier on them. Typically, a trailer rated at 5000 lbs. will have 2 3500 lb. axles.
Brakes would certainly be essential in my book and you can have them added easily enough.

Where on the axle would be the best place to look?

there should be a tag somewhere on the tube.

Most of the time there is an aluminum tag wrapped around them close to the right side.

The hitch coupler is just about always marked. It may not be stamped deeply so look close. The coupler is usually the weakest link. 2" ball couplers are usually rated 5,000, sometimes 3,500.

A trained eye can tell an axle rating by looking at the hub in some cases. 3500lbs axles will always have 5 lug wheels on no bigger than 15" rims and the inner bearing is sized for 1 1/16" axle stub. 6 lug will be 4000lb axle and 7lug could be 6000 or 7000lb axles.
