C123 head

Postby XFARMA » Tue Sep 11, 2007 2:51 pm

I'm thinking about putting a head from a 240,123 engine onto a SC,123 engine. Looks like the 240 has bigger valves than the SC ? Any down falls to doing this??? Chuck

The water pump design is totally different between those 2 models. I'm not sure you can even bolt the head from one onto the other. If you can, you will probably have a lot of problems hooking up the radiator.

Just thought I would up-date everyone on the head swap. Everything fit perfectly, the only difference I could find other than the valves was the inside shape of the water jacket. The tractor starts and runs great :D . Haven't had it under load yet but soon. The head was from a 59 international 240 utility. Chuck
