Only as safe as the operator. EXTREMELY high center of gravity making for lack of stability on slopes/sharp/fast turns. Operate with caution and common sense.

I think there are some types of spray that can be used with organic farming, but it does seem improbable they would have a spray tractor.

I see that the braces to the rear appear to be welded solid. For the axle to pivot they'd have to twist and hinge... unless I'm looking at it wrong. We don't get a look at the actual pivot.

I thought the braces were attached with pins at each end, allowing them to move up and down.

I can't see the back of those braces well enough in any of the pictures to say either way on that. Pictures 8 and 10 are pretty good pictures of the axle (up on top) and it doesn't appear anything was done there to disable the pivot. Picture 11 shows the front of the braces done with pins. As long as those braces are, even if hitched solid on the back, they won't stop the axle from pivoting.

I think it would be cool to see the Rat Rod parked underneath a High Crop like guys with trucks do at the shows. Is there any chance that we can make this happen?

was this even close to a aftermarket set up? interesting how the power is transfered to the rear, by chain? sprockets? top to the bottom, cool piece

The drives on high clearance tractors typically use roller chain.

That thing would be perfectly safe at George's house as flat as the ground is there .
I've seen versions of that before using John Deere tractors. 2 yrs ago at a King's auction over in Indiana there was a very similar setup for sale only on a Deere flatform.
