Aux Hydraulics for A C 140 etc.

I am fooling with something that I know little about and need help. I bought a Hydraulic valve and blocking plate off of a SA but the plate only has one outlet. the handle on the valve goes 2 ways where does the return line go?

I am not sure how it works. but I have seen cylinders with only 1 hose it did both send and return. I am not sure if this is before my time or not. But I have seen these type cylinders and have seen them work I just do not know how. The cylinder has only 1 connection.

David,
The valve is set up for a sinle acting cylinder, the oil returns through the same hose.
To use a double acting cylinder ( two lines) remove the other plug on top of the valve near the handle an add a line and connector.

the return hose from the valve would just go into the fill hole on the TC resevior, but i'm not exactly sure, I'd have to see the valve/block for sure... the bypass block should have 2 holes like the cub one, return and pressure, but I'm not sure how the SA/140 etc block works... if you look at the hose on the right side in the first pic you can see how there looks to be a different sized fitting, looks to be about the size to fit into the TC fill hole.

The basic set-up is the same as for a Cub, which has been discussed extensively in past threads. Tap into the pressure line via one of the plugs in the manifold. Return from the remote valve goes into the bypass block to feed the rest of the Touch-Control system.

Make absolutely sure you have it right before you start the engine. If you dead end the pressure from the pump, you can do more damage than the tractor is worth.

Alright now I am worried just to make sure the big line is the return and the small is the pressure ?

The smaller diameter tube is the pressure line. Have a pressure gauge? If so, install the gauge in the pressure tap and try operating it with the gauge before you put the bypass block in.
