Cold Carb.??Can someone tell my why my carb. is getting extremely cold where it bolts to the exhaust manifold while the engine is running. Will it hurt anything?
Re: Cold Carb.??At that point the evaporating gas inside is working exactly the same as the refrigerant in your freezer. I'd be more concerned if it didn't get cold.

Re: Cold Carb.??Exactly as George said - evaporation. When I drag raced we ran alcohol in a pull-through turbo setup. It was neat after a run to see thick frost falling off the carb right next to a glowing red-hot turbo charger.

Re: Cold Carb.??i had an '85 ranger that iced the carb up when i got my gas at one place, but not another. fuel blend could have something to do with it too.
