crankshaft pulley notches

Postby dw » Wed May 13, 2009 7:58 am

Why does my crankshaft pulley have 2 notches on it? Which one do i use? The one with 1 notch or the one with 2 notches ? Is T.D.C. inbetween the two sets? It is on a farmall h and also an "m".

The second notch to pass the pointer will be the TDC notch. The first notch will indicate the degrees of advance when the distributor advances. Static time to the second notch and confirm advance with a timing light using the first notch.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

My wife says I don't listen to her. - - - - - - - - Or something like that!
